Art Unlimited, now in its seventh year, receives more than 400 entries across the categories of Hanging Art, Photography and Ceramics. Artists from all over Australia enter the competition, vying for total prize money of $11,000. Presented by Dunedoo Lions Club, Art Unlimited continues to grow in importance each year and is now firmly established as a major event on the regional arts calendar.
The opening night on Friday 22 May promises to be unforgettable. Fine wines will be provided by multi-award winning Mudgee winery Robert Stein Wine and catering by Dunedoo Central School hospitality students always proves to be a stand-out feature of the night. A lucky door prize of a case of Robert Stein wines will be won during the evening.
The official opening will be performed by Andrew Dunkley of ABC Western Plains. Judges include Director of Orange Regional Art Gallery, Lisa Loader, acclaimed ceramicist Nerrida Barber, and widely-exhibited photographer Bob Hughes.
Each year more than 300 people attend the Friday night preview of the exhibition which is then open for the weekend at Dunedoo Central School hall. Visitors will be able to view the hundreds of works on display, most of which are for sale. The event provides an opportunity to invest in outstanding original artworks at a wide range of prices.
Tickets for the opening night are $30 and can be booked by contacting Norma Gallagher on 0437 751180 or are available from Milling Stuart in Bolaro Street, Dunedoo. Entry to the weekend exhibition is $5. Lunches and morning and afternoon teas provided by Dunedoo Central School P & C will be available on Saturday and Sunday.
